Yamaha QB1-10MEL-10-00 - Outboard 10-Micron Fuel Water Separating Filter - Supersedes MAR-10MEL-00-00 & MAR-FUELF-IL-TR is backordered and will ship as soon as it is back in stock.

The QB1-10MEL-10-00 is a genuine Yamaha fuel and water separating filter. Yamaha uses this part number now in place of MAR-10MEL-00-00 and MAR-FUELF-IL-TR.
Its job is simple. It separates water from the fuel and catches small particles before they can get into the engine. The filter is rated at 10 microns and flows up to 90 gallons per hour, which is enough capacity for most Yamaha outboards without restricting fuel supply.
This filter is commonly used on Yamaha two-stroke and four-stroke engines and is often the first filter in the fuel system. It helps protect against problems caused by ethanol fuel, which can pull moisture into the system and carry debris toward injectors and fuel pumps.
For smaller Yamaha engines rated 115 horsepower or less, Yamaha may specify the MAR-MINIF-IL-TR filter instead, depending on the setup.
