Please note that once an item on orders status is noted as "in processing" the item can longer be cancelled and will ship within 24 business hours. You can always check your order status here 

SHORT ITEMS / INCOMPLETE ORDERS

  • If you are missing an item you purchased from your shipment or an incorrect part was shipped, YamahaOnlineParts MUST be notified within 45 days of receiving your package. We will expedite the shipment of any shorted items as soon as possible upon notification and confirmation by our customer service team.

DAMAGED GOODS

  • YamahaOnlineParts must be notified of any damaged part or shipment within 30 days of delivery.
  • If you have received a damaged package, please photograph the package prior to opening. If you have already opened the package and found damaged merchandise, please photograph the packaging and damaged item, and contact our Customer Service Department.
  • In most cases, it is imperative that you save the original packaging. Loss or damage in transit is the responsibility of the assigned carrier, but we will be happy to assist with any claims and make sure you receive what you ordered and in satisfactory condition.

RETURNS

  • All returns require an RA number. To receive an RA number submit a request online and include images of the item(s) in question.

Is Your Product Eligible for Return?

To be eligible for a refund, all returned products must be both in the same condition they were in upon receipt and in their original packaging. For items eligible for a return, refunds will not be issued if the product is broken, dirty,  damaged, shows signs of use or damage, or if the original packaging is not intact. Without exception, electrical parts and service manuals are not eligible for return if the manufactures' seal has been broken.
 
Propellers that are returned showing any sign of installation, residue of grease, water spots, or any other sign of wear, will not be accepted for return. Should we receive a returned propeller in the condition described, you will be notified and asked to provide a shipping label to return the propeller back to you.
 
HOW TO RETURN YOUR ITEM(s)
  • Returns will be accepted on new, unused, uninstalled, or unaltered items within 45 days of the original purchase. Returns will not be approved if outside of 45 days. To receive an RA number submit a request online and include images of the item(s) in question.  
  • Returned products must include the original box and/or packaging (undamaged) with all tags and applicable manuals included.
  • If your order was shipped correctly and you wish to return an item, you are responsible for the return shipping costs on your original order back to us
  • Once an RA number has been obtained, please ship all returns to the following address, and be sure to include your RA number on the shipping label or make it visible on the outside of the package:

  • YamahaOnlineParts.com is not responsible for packages lost or damaged during return shipment. You will receive a confirmation email from YamahaOnlineParts once your return has been processed which will include details of any refund(s) credited.
  • Any merchandise or parts which show signs of use or are in a condition other than as received cannot be returned.
  • If all parts from your order are returned, YamahaOnlineParts will also deduct initial shipping charges incurred from the refund amount owed to you.
  • YamahaOnlineParts reserves the right to enforce a 20% restocking fee on ALL products listed in the product families below that are returned within our 45-day return policy:
    • Electrical Items (Lighting, Wiring, Harnesses, etc.) - If the packaging has been opened or the manufacturer's seal has been broken, the item is not eligible for a return.
    • Fuel Pumps - If the packaging has been opened or the manufacturer's seal has been broken, the item is not eligible for a return.
    • Lower Units (Assemblies and Housings) - If the packaging has been opened or the manufacturer's seal has been broken, the item is not eligible for a return.
    • Props - If the packaging has been opened or the manufacturer's seal has been broken, the item is not eligible for a return.
    • Cowlings, Chaps, and Casings - If the packaging has been opened or the manufacturer's seal has been broken, the item is not eligible for a return.
    • Exhaust and Transom Components
    • Steering Components
    • Cylinder Heads and Cylinder Blocks
    • Driveshafts, Crankshafts, and Camshafts
    • Trim and Tilt Assemblies
  • Please see below for returns of items that differ from our general return policies, such as propellers and electrical items.

REFUNDS

  • Returned products must be new, unused, uninstalled or unaltered, and include the original box and/or packaging with all tags and applicable manuals included.
  • Once your return is received and inspected by YamahaOnlineParts, we will process a refund to the original method of payment. Please note that depending on your credit card company or debit card issuing bank, it may take an additional 2-10 business days for the applied refund to post to your account.
  • If your order was shipped correctly and you wish to return an item for a refund, you are responsible for all associated shipping costs to get the product back to us.
 

ELECTRONICS, ELECTRICAL ITEMS, HARD PARTS, TOOLS

  • Any electronic or electrical item removed from its packaging or the manufacturer seal is broken is non-returnable.
  • Any maintenance or hard part which has been installed or shows signs of attempting to be installed is non-returnable.
  • Any tool that has been used or shows signs of wear is non-returnable.
 

PROPELLERS

  • Propellers may be returned within the first 30 days (no exceptions) after shipment if in new, unused condition, unopened, and in original packaging. Please contact YamahaOnlineParts customer service to obtain an RA number, prior to returning your propeller.
  • Propellers that are returned showing any sign of installation, residue of grease, water spots, or any other sign of wear, will not be accepted for return. Should we receive a returned propeller in the condition described, you will be notified and asked to provide a shipping label to return the propeller back to you.

 

OUTBOARD ENGINES

  • Outboard Engines - Non-returnable. Due to the fact that engines are registered for warranty with the manufacturer, all engine sales are final.

 

PRODUCT WARRANTY

  • As a seller of original equipment manufacturer produced parts, YamahaOnlineParts does not express or imply any warranty beyond the coverages offered by the original equipment manufacturer.
  • If you experience a problem or defect with your item, please contact our Customer Service Department for information about the factory warranty on your item.

YAMAHA WARRANTY CLAIMS

To begin a Yamaha warranty claim, please complete an online request form with the information pertaining to your claim. Needed information includes:

  • Your engine’s serial number (PID)
  • The part number for which you are making a warranty claim
  • Your YamahaOnlineParts order number

If needed, we will issue and provide you with a return authorization (RA) number to be included within the shipment when you send back the part for further investigation.

Please note that YamahaOnlineParts does not cover the shipping cost for warranty claims.

What Happens Next?

Once the part has been received by our warehouse, we will return the item to our vendor(s). A warranty claim will then be opened. This process can take up to 90 days for our vendor(s) to complete their processes and deem a warranty claim accepted or denied.

If the warranty is accepted, we will order a replacement part and ship to you after receiving the part in our warehouse. Please note that Yamaha will not drop ship directly  to a consumer. All orders must ship to the applicable dealer.

What Can You Do While Waiting?

Warranty claim processes cannot be expedited. If you choose, you can place a new order for a replacement part and if the warranty claim is accepted, we will issue a refund for the original order amount.

Lastly, since the processing time frame for warranty claims can be extensive, shipping lead times add to your wait, and there is the possibility of damage during shipping, therefore we might recommend that you go to a local authorized Yamaha dealer with your proof of purchase and work with them to submit your warranty claim.

  1. Any new Yamaha outboard part, accessory, instrument, or gauge purchased by a consumer from an authorized Yamaha Outboard dealer for pleasure use in the United States, will be warranted against defects for a period of one (1) year from the date of purchase.
  2. Any new Yamaha outboard part, accessory, instrument, or gauge purchased by a consumer from an authorized Yamaha Outboard dealer and utilized for Commercial or Guide use (including, but not limited to, government use and rental use) in the United States, will be warranted against defects in material or workmanship for a period of ninety (90) days from the date of purchase.
  3. Replacement Yamaha outboard electrical components will be warranted against defects in material for a period of thirty (30) days from the date of purchase.
  4. Yamaha apparel will be warranted against defects in material and workmanship for a period of ninety (90) days from the date of purchase.
