Frequently Asked Questions

What is Yamaha part B5Y-2174E-00-33?

B5Y-2174E-00-33 is the Yamaha part number for the Side Cover Stay 2, a genuine Yamaha part. It provides a mounting point that locates and supports the parts attached to it.

Why is there a 2 in the name Side Cover Stay 2 (B5Y-2174E-00-33)?

Yamaha adds numbers to parts that share a name so each one can be told apart. The 2 does not indicate quantity, so order by the full part number B5Y-2174E-00-33 rather than by name.

Why replace a bent Side Cover Stay 2 (B5Y-2174E-00-33)?

A bent or cracked Side Cover Stay 2 can leave attached parts out of position or loose. A new B5Y-2174E-00-33 restores the original mounting geometry.
