Description

Yamaha F200XSA Outboard Motor

25-Inch Shaft | Digital Electronic Control (DEC) | Electric Start | Power Trim & Tilt | Gray

⚠️ Important: This is a DEC engine, so it has to be installed and programmed by an authorized Yamaha dealer. The outboard and control system both need Yamaha diagnostic tools to set up correctly — not a DIY job.

The Yamaha F200XSA is a well-balanced 200-horsepower outboard that gives you the clean feel of digital controls without jumping up into a heavier V6. It runs on Yamaha’s 2.8-liter inline-four, a platform known for being smooth, fairly quiet, and surprisingly strong through the midrange. It’s a solid choice for bay boats, center consoles, and coastal rigs that want dependable power and good fuel economy without a lot of extra weight on the transom.

Because it uses DEC, throttle and shifting feel much cleaner than mechanical controls. Docking, easing through no-wake zones, or pushing the throttle forward all feel very predictable. The 25-inch shaft fits most higher-transom setups, and the Gray finish holds up well in saltwater.

Key Features:

  • 200 HP, 2.8L Inline 4-Cylinder Four-Stroke – Strong midrange power with light overall weight.
  • Digital Electronic Control (DEC) – Smooth, cable-free throttle and shift response.
  • 25-Inch Shaft Length – Built for higher transoms and offshore-ready hulls.
  • Gray Finish – Yamaha’s corrosion-resistant coating for saltwater use.
  • Electric Start – Reliable push-button ignition.
  • Power Trim & Tilt – Easy engine-angle control for performance or shallow water.
  • Electronic Fuel Injection (EFI) – Clean starts, better fuel burn, and steady throttle response.

Yup — there’s a 20-inch (F200XSB) and a 30-inch (F200XSC), depending on your boat’s transom height.
