Yamaha LF200XSA Outboard Motor
25-Inch Shaft | Counter Rotation | DEC | Electric Start | Power Trim & Tilt | Gray
⚠️ Important: Because this is a DEC engine, installation has to be done by an authorized Yamaha dealer. The motor and the controls both need to be programmed using Yamaha’s diagnostic tools, so it isn’t something that can be set up at home.
The Yamaha LF200XSA is the counter-rotating version of Yamaha’s 200HP DEC model. It’s designed mainly for boats running twin engines, where having one engine turn the opposite direction helps the boat track straighter and reduces steering pull. You’ll feel the difference most when you’re docking, running slow, or pushing through choppy water.
This motor is built on Yamaha’s 2.8-liter inline-four platform, which is known for being fuel-efficient and smooth through the midrange. The 25-inch shaft works well on deeper transoms, and the Gray finish holds up well in saltwater since it uses Yamaha’s same corrosion-resistant coating found across the offshore lineup.
