  • F75
  • F90
  • F100

  • Yamalube 10W-30 4M Outboard Mineral FC-W Engine Oil
  • Genuine Yamaha oil filter
  • Necessary drain bolt gasket

Specifications:

  • This kit is intended for use with all Yamaha F75, F90 & F100 outboard models.
  • The amount of oil included in this kit is adequate for most of the specifically noted Yamaha outboard models. If your particular outboard requires additional oil, please be sure to purchase this separately.

Description:

Yamalube 4M from Yamaha is a four-stroke outboard engine oil that features an approved NMMA FC-W mineral-based formulation intended to perform optimally in harsh marine environments.

The FC-W rating sets the standard for outboard lubrication, as well as corrosion protection, and resistance to the harmful effects of oil dilution. This ensures that your Yamaha outboard oil meets the minimum. But Yamaha goes one step further. Yamaha's exclusive and proprietary additive package means the Yamalube 4M formulation exceeds the industry standards for lubricity and corrosion protection.

Automotive engine oil will not pass the rigors of the FC-W test. In fact, most automotive engines cruise at 2500 rpm, whereas an outboard can typically operate from 4500 to 6000 rpm all day long. That kind of stress will literally tear automotive engine oils apart. Simply put, an automotive oil is not designed or formulated to provide the protection required by an outboards moisture-rich, high-rpm, high-load environment.

Yamaha F90 oil capacity

Yamaha F90 oil capacity depends on the exact model year and whether the oil filter is replaced during service. Use the oil quantity listed in the owner’s manual, refill carefully, and check the dipstick after running and settling to avoid underfilling or overfilling.

This Yamaha F90 oil change kit helps group compatible oil, filter, and service items for supported F75, F90, and F100 applications, but the exact oil capacity and viscosity should be confirmed for your engine.

Yamaha F90 oil change

A Yamaha F90 oil change usually involves warming the engine, keeping the motor level, draining or extracting the old oil, replacing the oil filter, installing a new drain gasket where required, refilling with recommended marine four-stroke oil, and checking the final dipstick level.
